Check it out...Here's a very uncommon 9 1/2" wide by 4" tall postal envelope issued for the dedication of the Abraham Lincoln Post Office in New Salem mailed to Springfield, Illinois on February 12, 1940, 1940-This original envelope features an image of a cartouche picturing the building titled "Lincoln New Salem Post Office Dedication" and has the return address of the "Abraham Lincoln Memorial Garden" in Springfield, Ill.-Envelope is in lightly used condition with only minor wear-(See images below for clarification)- How many of these throwaway items survived?
