RARE 1960s ebony / jet black colored ornately designed serving tray made by "Couroc of Monterey, California" picturing Abraham Lincoln's Old State Capitol Building in Springfield, Illinois where Lincoln made his famous "House Divided" speech-The 15 1/2" wide by 10 1/2" tall by 1/2" thick tray has intricate inlays of brass & wood and pictures the famous building and reads: "Springfield, Illinois" on the front-It has the original gold foil tag and maker's name of Couroc intact on back-How cool is that? It is a beautiful item but hard to photograph because of it's glossy finish, you can see how the gold sparkles in the sun in the photos below-A neat vintage Lincoln related item ready for display or use!
