There are a total of 20 of the most popular Eulogies of the time. 304 pages including 6 pages of subscribers [probably the who who's of those days]. If this was, by chance, sold by subscription only, it could mean only about 300 were printed. More research would have to be done. the only other 1 on ebay was missing both boards and [ although they don't state it] missing the last 3 pages! Condition: Please zoom in on photos carefully as they are part of the description. I am human and sometimes miss a thing or 2, but I try to mention the book's main faults. all of my books are VERY OLD and have 100+ years of wear to varying degrees depending on how you grade...fair plus to good plus condition.... for its age:boards - very secure, leather is still pretty soft! with a bizarre & old repair - new spine went over the old spine but not the spine label= exposing holes when you open the book. The yellow piece of paper is going through the hole in picture #11, picture 12 is the back of the book [see the white near the gutter? that's the hole / these holes do NOT show when the book is closed and sitting on your shelf! wear to boards, not too bad, mostly to the gilt on the edges /textblock- pages very secure outer joints- repair looks pretty good here!spine ends- old repair looks good here!tips- worn through, especially the bottom front -top ones are not too badinner hinges- shown in picturespages- generally spotted, some hardly at all, and some severe, and everything in between. I tried to picture a varietywriting- nonerips /folds- 4 rips that I saw - several light folds and a few wee tips curled under / the 2 rear free endpapers are missing and there was an old repair job to the last page [which is in rough shape] and possibly 2 or 3 letters missing from that last page [ letters mind you, not full words]. 1/2 title page and title page with some edge wear, as expected in a 220 year old book on the most important President!other: - if you can look past the spots and the bizarre spine repair - it is actually a good solid book in a beautiful and soft leather binding - probably top of the line back then! -- A NICE ONE FOR YOUR LIBRARY! ❤️ please Add me to your Favorites list AND check back now and then to see what's new!
