William McKINLEY NATIONAL MEMORIAL Canton, Ohio Dedication 1907 Old Newspaper Offered is an original, historic, & collectible old newspaper: THE EVENING TRIBUNE, San Diego, Sept. 30, 1907 * President William McKinley ceremony * McKinley National Memorial monument * Canton, Stark, County, Ohio dedication The top of the front page has a nice banner headline: "MEMORIAL TO M'KINLEY IS DEDICATED" with subheads and photo (grainy). (see) Nice for display. Surprisingly this issue is in good condition being from the "wood pulp" era. Very hard to find issues that are not totally fragile from this era in paper. Complete with 10 pages, small library stamps within the masthead, a few small binding holes along the spine, generally very nice. wikipedia notes: The McKinley National Memorial dedication on September 30, 1907 was one of the most memorable events in Canton's history. President Theodore Roosevelt joined other dignitaries to observe a grand parade from the review stand at Public Square in downtown Canton. In the dedication ceremony, Supreme Court Justice William R. Day, President of the McKinley National Memorial Association and a former member of McKinley's cabinet, delivered a narrative of events leading to the dedication.
