Shows the building with iron bars, etc. Great original picture, taken at Washington's plantation at Mt. Vernon, Va. Standard CdV size. From the Civil War period, 160+ years old now. During the war it was very popular and typical to include CdVs of celebrities in a family CDV album, especially of patriotic figures. Helped show their patriotic fervor during the war. Didn't get much better than the Revolution and anything dealing with Washington. I have NEVER SEEN original CdeV's taken at Mt. Vernon.
