This listing is for an INCREDIBLY RARE UNPUBLISHED ORIGINAL TYPE 1 (developed from the camera original negative in November of 1963) Kodak black and white photo, approximately 3 1/2" x 5" in size. The photo was taken on November 22, 1963 following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy by the Dallas Police Department / FBI Crime Lab. This particular photo was a "cull" and wasn't chosen to be included in the official FBI Gemberling Report following the assassination, therefore becoming an image only a very few people have seen over the past 59+ years. The photo was taken in Oak Cliff, at the corner of W. Davis St. and N. Zangs Blvd., and shows a portion of the route that Lee Harvey Oswald presumably took following the assassination of JFK and killing of Dallas Police officer J.D. Tippit before being arrested at the Texas Theatre. Fred Oakley Motors can be seen on the left in the photo. THE PHOTO, WHICH HAS BEEN PRESERVED VERY NICELY OVER THE PAST 59+ YEARS, ORIGINATES FROM A RETIRED AND DECEASED DALLAS POLICE DEPARTMENT OFFICER'S PERSONAL JFK ASSASSINATION FILE. THE OFFICER WAS INVOLVED IN THE INVESTIGATION. A VERY SMALL NUMBER OF THE ORIGINAL INVESTIGATION PHOTOS EXIST OUTSIDE OF THOSE INCLUDED IN THE OFFICIAL FBI GEMBERLING REPORT AND NATIONAL ARCHIVES FILES! I HAVE ATTACHED TO THE LISTING, FOR REFERENCE ONLY, SEVERAL IMAGES FROM THE MARY FERRELL JFK ASSASSINATION RESEARCH WEBSITE SHOWING PAGES FROM THE OFFICIAL FBI GEMBERLING REPORT. THESE PAGES HAVE ORIGINAL PHOTOS FROM THE INVESTIGATION STAPLED TO THEM, ONE BEING VERY SIMILAR TO THIS PARTICULAR PHOTO (RED ARROW), BUT TAKEN FROM THE OPPOSITE END OF THE STREET. FRED OAKLEY MOTORS CAN ALSO BE SEEN IN THE GEMBERLING REPORT PHOTO, ON THE RIGHT. THIS PHOTO WAS FROM THE SAME SERIES OF PHOTOS TAKEN BUT WASN'T CHOSEN TO BE IN THE OFFICIAL REPORT! AN EXTREMELY RARE ORIGINAL RELIC FROM THE INVESTIGATION INTO ONE OF THE DARKEST WEEKENDS IN OUR NATION'S HISTORY! A TRUE CENTERPIECE TO ANY JFK ASSASSINATION COLLECTION! Professional and secure USPS shipping is FREE! Thanks for checking out my listing!
