Rare Nixon All Time Baseball Greats Signed With 12 Original Famous Signatures
July 15, 1992 limited edition program from "The Nixon/Eisenhower All Time Baseball Greats" luncheon held July 15, 1992 at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Birthplace. The program is personally signed by Richard Nixon, along with 9 All Time Baseball greats plus Babe Ruth's daughter and President Dwight Eisenhower's son David. . The event was held at The Richard Nixon Presidential Library & Birthplace on the occasion of Richard Nixon and Dwight Eisenhower's selections for their all time baseball teams through the eras. Presumably as a fundraising item, the Library produced a limited number of these programs, and then an attendee of the event collected the signatures on the front cover of the program which is still in mint condition. We acquired this rare item from the individual who attended the event at the Nixon library. We have identified eight of the players but there are two signatures we did not recognize. The signatures are: President Richard Nixon, David Eisenhower, George Kell, Johnny Bench, Bob Feller, Brooks Robinson, Harmon Killebrew, Johnny Mize, Julia Ruth Stevens (Daughter of Babe Ruth) , Buck Rodgers Nixon, who resigned as President in 1974, was a devoted baseball fan. His lifelong appreciation and knowledge of our National Pastime is well documented and rivals that of any other President in US history.
