The Harvard 1940 class album featuring John F. Kennedy. This beautiful and large album is the senior yearbook for John Kennedy—the year he wrote WHY ENGLAND SLEPT, his senior thesis which was then published and became a best seller for the 23-year-old Kennedy. JFK was a class officer and was on the HARVARD CRIMSOM staff, the news publication for America 's oldest college. He lived at Winthrop House with roommate, Torby MacDonald, an outstanding football player, and later, U.S. Congressman. He and Kennedy remained very close friends up to the time of the President's assassination 15th anniversary report of the Harvard College class of 1940. Most notable member of the class of 1940 was obviously John F. Kennedy. Alan Lerner and Donald Regan were other famous members of the class. Great collectible for any Kennedy collector! Gold leaf personalization only adds to this fabulous find! See name in the photos. This book is RARE and only a certain number were made for the classmen, esprscially gold leaf named on the front. Given its age it is in great condition with minor binder separation & sway, corner and spine wear. Front applied photo has a spot worn off and some expected foxing on the pages.
