Rare FORD'S THEATER Lincoln SWATCH OF WALLPAPER! see description Washington...
After Abraham Lincoln was shot at Ford's Theater in Washington D. C. in 1865 the building was closed for many, many years. When it was finally set to re-open in 1968 the famous wallpaper was replaced (see pics for more detailed info). This is a page from one of the worker's scrapbook, in which (among postcards) he glued in an actual swatch of the new refurbished wall paper...which was painstakingly duplicated from the original. Historically fascinating and quite possibly one of a kind. SEE PIX (there is a pic of the original wallpaper from museum to compare).
