Up for auction is an original White House visitor list manuscript page from 1889 during the Benjamin Harrison presidency. The manuscript page measures approximately 8 3/4” x 5 1/2”. There are several minority stains and very minor chip at lower right side of the page . Considering its age the manuscript is in good condition. Benjamin Harrison ( August 20, 1833 - March 13 , 1901 ) was an American lawyer , politician , American Civl War colonel who served as the 23rd president of the United States from 1889 to 1893 . He was the grandson of the ninth president , William Henry Harrison and the great-grandson of Benjamin Harrison V. a founding father who signed the United States Declaration of Independence of Independence. This Benjamin Harrison White House visitor list manuscript page was once owed by Malcolm Forbes ( 1919 - 1990 ) who was the American owner - publisher of Forbes magazine,and consummate collector who amassed one of the most substantial and broad collections of such breadth and depth that it filled a half - dozen residences , sat on three continents.
