Original Newspapers 1963 Kennedy Assassination Lyndon Johnson Oswald Killed
There are but a few incidents in U.S. history that can be called monumental. The assassination of John F. Kennedy is one of those - that occurred November 22, 1963. These newspapers report that incident the following couple days. These papers are not just the front covers - they are mostly the complete issues of the day. These issues cover the assassination, the swearing in of Lyndon B. Johnson, the killing of Lee Harvey Oswald and more. Also very interesting to read the other news and sports of the time, along with ads, comics and more. These newspapers came from the estate of a retired U.S. Army Colonel. He was an avid collector and historian of U.S. military history. This listing is for all of the newspapers in the photos. One price for the bunch. Free shipping to any of the 50 U.S. states. 1. THE NEW YORK TIMES. November 24, 1963. 10 pages. 2. CHICAGO DAILY NEWS. November 23, 1963. 16 pages. 3. CHICAGO DAILY NEWS. SECTION TWO. November 23, 1963. 8 pages. 4. CHICAGO TRIBUNE. November 25, 1963. 12 pages. (Oswald killed just 3 days after the assassination.) 5. And here's a bonus paper: THE INDIANAPOLIS STAR. April 13, 1945. 22 pages. Franklin D. Roosevelt dies today of cerebral hemorrhage, Harry S. Truman sworn in as new President. Roosevelt's last words: "I have a terrific headache." Also many updates on the war. The Cubs beat the White Sox 15 - 3 at Comiskey Park. Good condition overall. No interior markings or stains. Most all pages in good shape. Just some tattering at some of the page edges, I think pretty remarkable condition for how old they are - newspapers don't usually survive this well. See photos please. Returns accepted with full refund if you are not satisfied. (You would need to pay return shipping.) Sorry, no sales to Canada or anywhere other than 50 U.S. states. Book will be well packaged and shipped at my cost. If you visit someone, and you see no books in their house - Run Away! Run Away! RM-1-BlkBin
