Bronze was manufactured in late 1902 after his September Carriage crash that landed him in the hospital at St. Vincent's in Indianapolis Indiana. The crash caused a shin injury that turned into a life threatening abscess. Statue measures 29 inches tall overall. Crutch is damage at base, object in his right hand may have been longer see photos. Base is marked with makers signature, copyright dated, and foundry.
