This listing is for a new piece of Reagan Memorabilia.   I am having these manufactured (in the U.S.A.) in honor of President Ronald Reagan, his values, common sense and conservative principles.   We have embedded a piece of wood from the inaugural platform, along with one of President Reagan's famous quotes that has been printed on acetate.   There are several different quotes available to choose from that can be viewed in my store.  The Lucite pieces / paperweights are approximately 3" x 4-3/4" x 1" thick.   They are hand sanded and polished, so there may be slight variations in size.  The wood pieces vary in darkness and grain pattern as well, and may not look exactly like the one pictured.   All come gift boxed with a certificate of authenticity.    QUOTE:   "Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases:  If it moves, tax it.  If it keeps moving, regulate it.   And if it stops moving, subsidize it." History:   In 1981 my father's company had the exclusive permission to lay oak parquet flooring for the 1981 Presidential Inaugural Platform.  After the ceremony, the flooring was removed and pieces were embedded in Lucite, along with a commemorative medallion.  These were offered in a catalog of items available to the public, considered to be of historic significance, to commemorate the Inauguration.   Some of this platform wood was never used for embedding in the original Lucite pieces and has been kept in storage by our family.  While the original commemorative piece will never be duplicated, I feel the wood should be used to honor President Ronald Reagan. I will combine shipping when possible.   If purchasing multiple items, try not to pay until you receive a revised invoice with the combined shipping.   If Ebay does calculate and overcharge for shipping, I will refund over payments via Ebay.    Ebay will collect sales tax as required by various states.   Global shipping program is available.   That service determines the shipping charges and applicable taxes/fees will be collected by that service.
