This is an interesting campaign button from 1976 showing a man riding an elephant saying “the Goobers are coming.” Obviously, the elephant represents the republicans and “goobers” is a reference to Jimmy Carter and peanuts. Very interesting item- in 30 years of collecting, I haven’t seen another one like it. Good condition, measures 2.25”.
