This is a vintage Reofect painting which is a textured print reproduction of Gilbert Stuart’s famous "Athenaeum Portrait" of George Washington. Reofect was a patented high-quality textured print method designed to mimic the look and feel of a real oil painting. The image of George Washington is in a gold gilded oval frame without glass (as a typical oil painting would not be under glass). Note there is one small part of the “roping” design around the portrait. The print shows its age and is not “perfect”.
