Second, it was manufactured by the Crown Ducal China Company of England, one of the most famous china manufacturers. Third, it is a memorial plate from 1932, the bicentennial of George Washington (1732-1932) - this information is found on the back of the plate. Fourth, this is a souvenir plate with the ancestral home of George Washington pictured on the front. This ancestral home is called Sulgrave Manor and is located in Banbury, England. It was built by the great - great - great - great grandfather of George Washington in the tudor style. So, this plate really has a lot going for it. The back reads: "George Washington - Bicentenary - Memorial Plates- 1732-1932 - First in War - First in Peace - First in the Hearts of his Countrymen." The condition is very, very good with no chips, no cracks, and no discoloration. There is minimal crazing on the back of the plate. This plate certainly dates from 1932.
