Vintage original approximately 8-1/2" x 12" (trimmed) double weight photograph from 1924 picturing John Calvin Coolidge Sr., the father of President Calvin Coolidge. Unattached caption reads "John Coolidge at Plymouth listening in to nomination of Calvin Coolidge for President at Cleveland Convention." "1922" handwritten on caption is incorrect as the convention was held in June 1924; Calvin was Vice President in 1922. Interestingly, a few months later, the senior Coolidge administered the presidential oath of office to his son at their family homestead in Plymouth, Vermont in the early morning hours of August 3, 1923, following the death of President Warren G.
