The ribbon is original and was attached when I purchased this medal over 20 years ago! I have quite a few of these medals for sale in different grades in our eBay store. This is the only Columbus medal and we have many GW medals for sale. The backside is clean and very readable! This medal is in near mint condition! *** None of the medals for sale in our store are reproductions and every medal for sale was purchased individually over many years collecting! These medals are from my personal collection! I never tried to clean any of the medals and always left them in the original condition / state I purchased them in!
