Antique copper plaque with President Abraham Lincoln bust in high relief.19th century wooden frame, which appears to be a cabinet door from an 1800s piece of furniture ( incised hinge recesses on the rear ). Wooden frame is 12 3/16" tall and 10" wide. Frame depth is about 7/8" Raised wood provides a circular frame for the copper Lincoln bust. The wood is old solid oak, which was stained long ago. The glued linen backing and string hanger at the back are not as old as the frame. As-found; an eye-catching piece. Carefully packed for shipment to the buyer.
