1972 Richard Nixon for President Illinois Bob Lamkin for Congress S&P Set NICE +
4" wide by 4" tall by 2" deep colorful cardboard 2-piece boxed salt & pepper shakers from the 1972 Era Richard Nixon for President and Bob Lamkin for Congress campaign in Illinois-Set of Aluminum Salt and Pepper Shakers are in a box that pictures Nixon along with Bob Lamkin, a Republican running for Congressman of the 22nd district of Illinois in 1958. He lost to George Shipley. One of the shakers looks like a milk jug and the other is a handled version (I don't think they match) and are made of aluminum. There is a facsimile handwritten note from Bob's Wife is clearly printed inside that is made to look like it was handwritten. On each side of the box is a different message: "Bob Lamkin is one of us. He was born on an Effingham County farm and educated in Illinois schools. He married Emma Koss, a rural school teacher from the area.
