An original bronze sculpted plaque of Victor D. Brenner's design for the Lincoln cent. Done in 1907, two years before the Lincoln cent was introduced, this marvelous example, in wonderful undamaged, lightly patinated bronze is a real knockout. The Founders mark pictured on the flat edge of the sculpture attests to its authenticity as does its measured size of 9 x 7.5 inches and the marble mounting stand with bronze support leg. Very hard to find early state in fine condition.
