Condition: Used

Exceptionally rare Benjamin Harrison and Reid Whitelaw 1892 campaign photos set inside a glass cube bound with what appears to be Sterling Silver in a square bezel. This political token has been attached by hand to an old pocket watch chain, which is where most men wore campaign tokens since at least the election of 1840. What makes this so unique is that campaign photo pins weren't cheap to produce at all until 1896 when when Hoag and Whitehead came out with the celluloid campaign buttons for both the Bryan and McKinley campaigns. Very few of these were made and even fewer have survived the past 130 years. The Republican nominee, Benjamin Harrison, of course went on to win the 1888 election and become president. He was defeated in 1892 by the first democrat, Grover Cleveland, to have won the presidential election since the Civil War. Satisfaction guaranteed with 14 day no questions return policy.
