1881 Letter to T Nichol About Political Office President Elect James Garfield
This is a nice, original letter to Thomas Nichol from H.W. Wright inquiring about the possibility of holding a position in the administration of president-elect James Garfield. Dated February 11, 1881. Mr. Nichol was a businessman in agricultural machinery and later in life he was involved in the transition to the presidency for President James Garfield as well as becoming a Judge. Measures 8.5" x 11" and contains two pages as well as the original envelope. Letter has mailing folds and is in good condition overall, envelope has wear and tears that is shown in photos.
