It's very difficult to find historical price information on this unique piece of political memorabilia. This particular piece has been drilled to hang on a necklace or watch chain. While most of the Grant tokens were minted in brass with superior dies and presses, this particular medal was made out of a metal alloy that is generally referred to as "white metal". The white metal surface has discolored to a dark tone and it has some mild surface damage. Because of the popularity of campaign tokens from 1824 to 1868, the drive to gather campaign contributions & votes through tokens was high and Grant's campaign team didn't fail to deliver on some really cool campaign tokens in both 1868 and 1872. Satisfaction guaranteed with 14 days no questions return policy. Buyer pays return shipping. Authenticity guaranteed forever
