1848 Zachary Taylor Presidential Campaign Print
We offer a scarce English campaign engraving for Zachary Taylor's presidency. The sight size of the print is 15 ¼” x 11 ¼”. It is matted and housed in a gold frame with the outside dimensions of 25 ¾” x 21 ¼” . It was published in 1848 by Read and Company at 10 Johnson’s Court, Fleet Street, London for the American market. A stern looking Taylor is surrounded by his presidential predecessors in smaller oval portraits, the composition closely resembles a smaller colored variant published by N. Currier. Condition: The print does not appear to be laid down, though not examined out of the frame. Generally in very good condition. Shipping Notes: We ship same day via USPS upon receipt of payment before 3 PM. Payments received Monday-Friday (after 3 PM) will be shipped the next morning.
