Here is an original printed booklet addressed to the 18th Congress 2nd Session, a Message from the President Of The United States Transmitting a Report of the Progress made in the execution of the Act to Abolish the Indian Trading Establishments, etc. dated January 21, 1825 Printed in Washington by Gales & Seaton. It measures approx. 5 5/8" by 8 3/4" when closed and is bound by string. The binding itself is loose, as are some sections of pages although many of the pages are still attached by 2 1/2" in the center. There are 36 pages which include abstracts, charts, statements and letters. Fascinating reading. Some of the pages are dog-earred and there are foxing spots in places, typical in a document of this age. There are no tears of the pages, only some wrinkles. Thanks for looking at this auction.
