BARACK OBAMA INAUGURATION ATTENDANCE AREA Orig Heavy Duty 21" x 21" PLACARD SIGN
This is an original and quite rare artifact from Barack Obama's Inauguration in Washington DC. If you attended the inauguration, there were large placards posted for each section that people had special passes to. This one is from the "West Standing" section from right where the action was. The vast majority of attendees were far away on the Great Lawn in the silver section. Sections 1 through 16 were only for Congressional and Senate seating (and their families). The best non-government employee areas one could attend were North, West, and South standing. The placard is 21" X 21" in size, thick glossy in bright colors, on heavy duty all-weather board, with mounting grommets. These placards were not easy to get, because they were mounted with extra large heavy duty zip ties. Security scanners upon entry insured that no one could bring in any type of blade (that could be used to cut the zip ties). One had to be inventive. Note that there were maybe 30 placards in total for the inauguration grounds. So this item is special. Shipping will be USPS cost only. I make no profit on postage.
