Note: The Krewe of Argus is from Metairie, LA, which abuts New Orleans and is in Jefferson Parish, named after President Thomas Jefferson. In 1975, Jefferson Parish celebrated its 150th Anniversary and Argus paid tribute to both Jefferson Parish and President Thomas Jefferson on the doubloons they issued that year.
