St. Louis, Missouri, bas-relief of President Mc Kinley, likely issued in 1901 after his assassination. About 13" H x 9.75"CORNERS HAVE BROKEN OFF AS SHOWN, worn, stained/dirty somewhat Code JSB246William McKinley was the 25th President of the United States, serving from March 4, 1897, until September 14, 1901, after leading the nation to victory in the Spanish-American War and raising protective tariffs to promote American industry. His second term came to a tragic end in September 1901. He was standing in a receiving line at the Buffalo Pan-American Exposition when a deranged anarchist shot him twice. He died eight days later.
