This is one of many more Harding stereo cards we have for sale in our eBay store. In 1923, President Warren G. Harding started to feel the heat in Washington, D.C., politically, over scandalous Teapot Dome issues as well as by the mean temperature. So, he and his wife and various cabinet members planned an extensive trip to take his and the press's minds off problems. A large set of stereo view cards was the result which have become quite desirable among collectors since they show so many interesting snapshots of people, places and things which he experienced. The party headed out west across the plains then clear up to Alaska and back down through Washington, Oregon to California, where Harding died on August 2 at a hotel in San Francisco, shocking the nation. This Keystone View Company card shows the president giving a speech at Fairbanks, Alaska. We also have put on a stereo card with a close-up of him at this event. This is in nice condition but please look at our images to judge this for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase. We are members of APIC and sell only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence.
