Condition: Used

President John F. Kennedy travelled to Europe in June-July 1963. Starting in West Germany's capital, Bonn, the highlight of that trip was his appearance for a speech in West Berlin along the wall, culminating in the phrase; "Ich bin ein Berliner." We are listing many souvenir German postcards - which are a bit different than American postcards - from his famous visit. Many are postmarked, some show West Germany's first chancellor, Dr. Konrad Adenauer, West Berlin's mayor, Willy Brandt, and some just show JFK. After Germany, Kennedy went to Ireland to explore his family roots, England to meet their Prime Minister and then to Rome where he and Jackie had an audience with the Pope. This 5 13/16" x 4 1/8" German postcard commemorating the visit, #7 has a full image of JFK making a point during a speech on front and, on back, a stamp plus two postmarks from Frankfurt am Main and two stylized coat-of-arms. This is in nice condition but please look at our images to judge condition for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase. S & H on this will be $5.50 sent well-protected first class with tracking. We are members of APIC and sell only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence. And we'll be happy to combine S & H costs on multiple purchases even though eBay says we won't. We just issue a refund for any overpayment. 8468
