1880 president campaign medal tokens General Winfield Scott Hancock + B Harrison
A very rare surviving copper campaign item from the 1880 election, the WS Hancock has toned nicely but shows considerable wear. Like his namesake, old fuss and feathers General Winfield Scott, Winfield Scott Hancock was a General in the Army and had a very long and distinguished military career. Had he lived as long as General Scott, he certainly would have become president. The Republican nominee, Benjamin Harrison, of course went on to win the 1888 election and become president. He was defeated by the first democrat, Grover Cleveland, to have won election since the Civil War. Shipped with USPS First Class Package. Satisfaction guaranteed with 14 day no questions return policy. Buyer pays return shipping. Authenticity guaranteed forever
