1923+ President Calvin Coolidge Stereo View Card with his Cabinet at White House
Vice President Calvin Coolidge took over when President Harding died in San Francisco on August 2, 1923. Sworn-in by kerosene lamp in the middle of the night by his father who was the local Justice of the Peace, Coolidge and his wife left his father's Rutland, Vermont farm by train the next day. We have two historically important postcards showing him tossing hay on his father's farm on the 2nd and on the back of the train on the 3rd, our item 275980024893. This Keystone View Company card shows the new president with his Cabinet in the White House, but it doesn't state how long into his tenure the image was taken. Future president, Herbert Hoover, Secretary of Commerce for both Harding and Coolidge and the latter's successor, is at the end of the table. There's an extensive and descriptive printed blurb on the back. This is in nice condition but please look our images to judge this for yourself so you can be happy with your purchase. We are members of APIC and sell only authentic presidential (and other collectible) material so buy with confidence. We'll be happy to combine S & H costs on multiple purchases. Shipping on this will be $6.50 carefully packed-first class with tracking in a box. 6952
