This listing is for an original photograph of President Woodrow Wilson taken as he rode in the funeral procession for the Unknown Soldier, now buried in Arlington, VA, in November 1921. The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier is a historic monument dedicated to deceased U.S. service members whose remains have not been identified. The World War I “Unknown” is a recipient of the Medal of Honor, the Victoria Cross, and several other service awards.Woodrow Wilson was one of the most consequential presidents in U.S. history, and he was the visionary leader of the allied WWI countries and of the controversial pease that followed. This is a fantastic photo, in excellent condition, representing one of the most important elements of Wilson’s presidency as he had moved the U.S. into international affairs to engage the Great War.
