We offer an original 1870's 4.5" x 7" stipple engraving of the second U. S. President by Longacre after a painting by Bass Otis from a painting by Gilbert Stuart. Heavy stock paper used.From an archive of photographs produced by the famed New York Pach Brothers Photographers for B. Altman's Department Store for their autograph department in the 1970's. These high quality photographs were used to frame with autographs. They were not inexpensive to produce. Pach Brothers which opened in 1867 were one of the leading portraitists in the country. They would also buy negatives from other photographers who would either go out of business, or pass away, so their holdings of original negatives were historic.
