1850 GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON RARE LITHOGRAPH REVOLUTIONARY WAR ~ SLAVE BILLY LEE
GENERAL GEORGE WASHINGTONRARE LITHOGRAPHRevolutionary WarWilliam Lee1850 "Entered accoring to act of Congress in the year 1850 by P.S. Duval in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania." Quite a rare lithograph of General George Washington during the Revolutionary War with his white horse, soldiers battling and William Lee ("Billy Lee") his valet/servant/slave who was known to be an excellent horseman who stayed close to Washington for many years. I took the original old print out of the old wood frame and it seems it was cut down a bit for the frame though uncertain, seems closely trimmed at bottom at least. Selling it generally without the frame but could easily sell it with the frame - the higher Priority mail cost option would include the frame and it is a nice old one, the wood panel on the rear has come apart, in two pieces, frame is solid and attractive. The colors of the lithograph are not as bright as they appear in most of the photos - the photo of the litho framed is more true to life of the colors, bit more muted. Lithograph measures 13.5 x 19 and the frame measures 16 x 21 inches. ******We ship with safety in mind. Thank you.
