1888 Cleveland & Thurman Broadside type newspaper OPENS THE CAMPAIGN Full Speech
Here is an original full single sheet newspaper page from the Wheeling Register dated Aug. 23, 1888 that gives V.P. candidate Judge Thurman's (at Port Huron, Mich.) speech to open the political campaign for president & V.P. The full sheet measures approx. 12 3/4" by 18 1/2" and has printed text on both sides with the inclusion of an engraved image of Cleveland & Thurman on page one. It has been folded into quarters. The overall condition is good for its age with a few small fold tears in places (with 2 bottom edge tears of approx. 1 1/2") and minor material loss around its edges with a few corner folds.
