EAPG McKinley Assassination Commemorative Bread Plate 1901 US Glass God's Way
Offered for sale is a Commemorative Bread Plate that was manufactured to commemorate the presidency & to remember the assassination of President William McKinley. President McKinley was assassinated in 1901 and the US Glass Company decided to produce this commemorative glass bread plate, which is classified under Early American Pattern Glass (sometimes Early American Pressed Glass). The plate measures 10 1/2 inches long and is 8 inches wide. In the center of the plate is an embossed picture / figure of President McKinley with the words Born 1843 and Died 1901. In stippled, embossed lettering it says: IT IS GOD'S WAY and HIS WILL BE DONE. There are laurel or acanthus leaves surrounding the plate. The condition is EXCELLENT with no chips, no cracks, and no damage. This is a great historical piece to own and it is getting harder to find.
