She is sometimes considered to have been a Founder of the United States, and is now designated as the first Second Lady and second First Lady of the United States, although these titles were not used at the time. __________ with Titled Overleaf & BONUS Print with short biographical paragraph framed against an Ornate Shadow Frame** **Note: The background in the biographical print is, by design, in a shadow effect. There is nothing wrong with the page; that was just the style used by the publisher. Actually it has some nice features... First Lady name..small Presidential oval portrait at bottom...just are hard to see easily. Apparently, the publisher was more interested in you seeing the words. Prepared by The Bureau of National Literature and Art, 1903 Of all photoengraving methods there is none which produces such a rich and satisfying result as photogravure. A photogravure is an intaglio printmaking process where a copper plate is coated with a light-sensitive gelatin tissue which had been exposed to a film positive, and then etched, resulting in a high quality intaglio print that can reproduce the detail and continuous tones of a painting or photograph. You should avoid touching the face of the print, as the ink is somewhat powdered. Prior to this, virtually all prints (and engravings) were produced as illustrations to be included in a manuscript, book, newspaper, or pamphlet. Therefore, a vast majority of original prints have been over the years removed from these original sources. Prints are produced using many different techniques: relief printing (woodcut & wood engraving), intaglio printing (steel & copper plate engraving, drypoint, aquatint, etc), and planographic printing (lithography, serigraphy, inkjet, laser, etc.). While the commercial value of a print depends on such factors as age, rarity, and condition, the real value of a print is its tie to its history and/or its esthetic beauty.
